Nixon stated in his book Six Crises that after he returned to DC shortly after losing in the 1960 election, when he got home, he went to the library and built a fire. Nice to see that the library in the photos does indeed have a fireplace! Pass that tidbit along to the buyers if you get a chance. I myself went on a driving tour of DC and was thrilled to find this house, but had no idea it was for sale. Nice house (Nixon). Curious as to what photograph you are referring to in the Master - none of us can find a photo that fits your description - let me know as the buyers are quite curious.
