Chris Cuomo Airs Jordan

OK, now we’re starting to get a little worried about “Good Morning America” anchor Chris Cuomo.
Last December, Cuomo was interviewing Barack Obama. Cuomo asked Obama: “What do you think the bigger obstacle is for you in becoming president, the Clinton campaign machine or America’s inherent racism?”
Inherent racism? A strong assertion about America, perhaps. But heck, he’s a big-time TV journalist. So he had to have been standing on factual terra firma — right?
Well, this morning Cuomo confounded us again. The setting: another interview with Barack Obama. And another odd line of questioning.
We go to the Newsbusters transcript:
CUOMO: You have six weeks now before Pennsylvania. You have some time to see your wife, see your kids, play a little ball. You going to take it to the hoop? You going to pretend that you’re Michael Jordan trying to take it into the basket a little bit?
OBAMA: Let me tell you, it would take a great feat of imagination to pretend I’m Michael Jordan. I might pretend that I’m 15 years younger than I am. The only problem with that is, sometimes that’s how you get injured. So I have to be careful about that.
Nice answer by Obama. He’s getting to be a pro at answering these odd Cuomo questions. As for Cuomo’s question — Michael Jordan? Any chance that’s indicative of America’s inherent racism?
Would it be wrong to pose a similar question to Hillary Clinton.? She’s never pretended to be Larry Bird.
