While Washington buzzes about Jim Webb snubbing President Bush at the White House (George Will calls Webb a “pompous poseur” with “studied truculence” — that’ll school ‘im!), the far better anecdote is reported by Dana Milbank in today’s Washington Post:

Its deliberations are so relaxed that its co-chairmen, James Baker and Lee Hamilton, found time on Monday to pose for an Annie Leibovitz photo shoot for Men’s Vogue.
Good lord – Men’s Vogue? What, Modern Maturity turned them down?
Makes you suspect they’ve broadened the Iraq options to “go big,” “go long,” “go home” — and now, “say cheese.”
