Woo Do You Love?

March 10, 2007 at 11:33 pm

Fascinating tidbit in Sunday’s Washington Post Dan Balz article on John Edwards:

In the interview, Edwards said the activists’ concerns had no influence on his decision. “I saw the list of debates that we had and the list of things we’re doing specific in Nevada, and I said, ‘Why are we doing Fox?’ I said, ‘No, tell them no.’ ” Asked whether he knew about the bloggers’ concerns, Edwards said, “I didn’t personally know, no.”

He called on Saturday to say: “The correct answer to that is I was generically aware that the Net-roots hates Fox. I did not know about any specific activity about this.”

But in the paragraph above, this is asserted: “Edwards also has wooed the Net-roots activists on the left.”  Interesting to learn what bits of knowledge Edwards keeps separate from all that wooing, with or without a correction.

Forget “two Americas”, apparently Edwards has got two minds–and they don’t speak to one another.

    “I didn’t personally know, no.”

    Sheesh. So Clintonian.
Remember “compartmentalization”? And the media dutifully reported
it as the reason he sometimes “appeared” to be lying.

Also, wasn’t Elizabeth supposed to be the coolest political wife because
she keeps close tabls on the blogosphere?

I looks as if the “uncrowning” of Hillary has brought out the true mendacious of the left.

    Consider, if you will:

A man whose sole vocation for the last 2 1/2 years has been running for President, who prides himself on being in touch with the party base, and whose wife is known to monitor leftist websites and blogs closely, claims he “did not know” about the huge controversy and opposition on the left to a debate hosted by FoxNews.

Meet John Edwards, trial attorney and politician. Today he asks not for your vote: he asks you to enter the Twilight Zone.
