The Carmela Soprano Primary

Why would anyone write this?
Tony Soprano’s odyssey is nearly at an end. Certain brutish and Brutus death at the hands of his own goons, right? We’ll know soon enough. But Carmela Soprano’s own odyssey chugs along. And it’s a quite different journey from that of her husband. If Tony’s calling is crime, Carmela’s seems to be politics.
Over time on “The Sopranos,” Carmela has made the political transformation from starry-eyed Hillary Clinton admirer to Bush booster. Now the middle-aged empty nester may have the biggest adventure of all: deciding who to pick for president.

If Jeannine Pirro can get elected DA of Westchester County, NY — why not Carmela Soprano as Sanitation Commissioner in whatever the heck part of Jersey they live in?

for my senior thesis in college i performed a rhetorical feminist criticism on mrs. sopranos marriage to t. i must say i throughly enjoyed your political chriticism on her voting behavior. but something tells me she’ll be voting D next november. her love of her son is so great, i have to beleive she’ll empathize with all the mothers who’ve lost their children in this war.
i think she’ll be doing it though while living in arizona under a new name while her husband performs a new job…patio furniture salesman. i’m dreading this sunday but always so looking forward to it. everything does come to an end.
