So Much For The Sixth Commandment …

… the one to the effect of “Thou shalt not murder.”
Here’s Mike Huckabee making a killing in Iowa this morning
Clearly the Huck stops here. And in the Christmas seasonal spirit of citing Christ … onward soldiers!

I’ve always found it interesting that folks who don’t know much about the Bible, pretend to.
As far as the 6th Commandment, in it’s original language, it is actually translated as “Thou shalt not murder”. Kill and Murder are two different acts, as murder is a willfully wrong act, and “killing” doesn’t necessarily constitute it as being murder.
If someone broke into my house at 2am, high on meth, and bent on rape and murder, and I shot him down to protect my family and property, that would not make me a murderer.
But that is an easy mistake to make, if you’ve never actually tried to understand the context, or researched the Bible.
The second blunder with this post, is that bird hunting is far from “murder”. For several reasons. One being, that a bird is not a human, has no soul. Secondly, because it is perfectly legal. Surprised you didn’t know that.
Since you’ve proven yourself to be quite the Biblical scholar, perhaps you can tell me who harvested the first animals?
