And what do Favre, Manning, Kemp and the Nixon play all have in common? New Orleans! The great Favre grew up 50 miles from New Orleans. Manning grew up in New Orleans, at my old school (and I once took him and his brother Cooper to see one of their dad's games). And the play that Nixon called was run by Billy Kilmer, the first fulltime starting quarterback for the New Orleans Saints (until replaced by Peyton's dad Archie). Also, Kemp's college roommate, Jim Mora, was head coach of the Saints. All hail New Orleans!

I told you we got two brownbacks running for POTUS:

"The New Mexico governor also gave the group several glimpses of his sense of humor, even treading into a dicey area by calling attention to his Hispanic background and his own complexion. "I know I'm a dark horse in this race," he said, adding with a smirk, "Get it, dark horse?"

As I've said before: with Senator Sam and Bill Richardson, we have the choice of two different brownbacks for POTUS.

The people of Wisconsin would elect Brett Favre Benevolent Dictator for Life if they could.

(I grew up in WI, and yes, I still worship at the Alter of Lombardi)

"But the fact is, football and politics seem to share a troubled history. (My old boss Jack Kemp excluded, of course.)"
