The Wall Street Journal provides the official certification: Mike Gravel’s the big debate winner. At least on YouTube.
From the Washington Wire blog:
The Democratic candidate receiving the most buzz on YouTube today was former Alaska Sen. Mike Gravel. At least 18 separate clips were uploaded today of the underdog candidate, and they attracted a total 5,700 views, according to New Media Strategies, an Arlington, Va.-based Internet intelligence firm that analyzed the post-debate YouTube postings.
The most popular clip of the irascible Alaskan, a montage of his answers last night, had been seen more than 2,200 times as of 4 p.m. EDT.
Best description of a presidential candidate in a long time: irascible Alaskan.

The Web set appears to be developing a track record of high interest in unique (i. e., goofball) Presidential candidates - Dean in ‘04, now Gravel.
Fine w/me. As a paid-up member of the VRWC (and originator of the New Invivility in Federal politics), the more time, attention, effort & money sent down these blind alleys the better.

Yep. Digg users are big on Gravel and Ron Paul. Of course they’re also big on 9/11 conspiracies.
