Bill Clinton: “I am not a racist.”
Bill Clinton: “I did not have sexual relations with that woman.”
Richard Nixon: “I’m not a crook.”
Good one, eh?

You remember when we ignored everything else and watched this guy burn the white house to the ground?
Ahhh, those were the days……

Well, if “not being a racist” means you’ve screwed more black women than Strom Thurmond, old Slick just might be right.

I vaguely remember watching a TV progrqam about marketing yourself, where Nixon was presented as the way *not* to defend yourself.
The presenter described how “I am an honest man!” would have served Nixon so much better than “I am not a crook.”
So, as Letalis Maximus, Esq., commented, Bill would have been better off making a remark along the lines of “I’ve had more mahonganey trim than any man alive.” Much more believable, much less slippery. Off course, he’d then have to duck the Steuben ash tray upon his return to Chappaqua, but I’m sure he’s well practiced.
