Pantsuits!
Legendary designer Yves Saint Laurent, who reworked the rules of fashion by putting women into elegant pantsuits that came to define how modern women dressed, died Sunday evening….
… sleek pantsuits that underlined Saint Laurent’s statement on equality of the sexes. He showed that women could wear “men’s clothes,” which when tailored to the female form became an emblem of elegant femininity.
Pantsuits!
What a golden opportunity for Hillary Clinton to prove her worth as Barack Obama’s running-mate. She should attend Saint Laurent’s funeral — just like a real vice president. And wear her trademark outfit. Surely she has one in black.

Hi,
Yeah, I know he bequeathed us Hillary, LOL in a pantsuit, but he was also a Civil Rights pioneer,
the first designer to use black models in his show.
If you’re interested in learning more about YSL’s life, we have a nice retrospective on him: Yves Saint Laurent: The end of an era
Thanks very much.
