although King is not exactly news and far more infotainment - it does comment
on the lack of a critical approach to the media and a focus on more ephemeral
and non-substantial ideas and policies

at the same time, it is a sad commentary on the nature of politics that someone
who has worked their whole lives to do good and look out for the interests of the average americans, is so publically destroyed by a relatively minor incident like Spitzer committed -
when massive corruption and illegal activity among the private sector - corporate interests
are doing such damage to this country, its finances, to the deteriment of the people

i second that. “hot bottled water to dehydrated babies is the real deal. also, after the nevada debate, obama’s “quotable” about loving to help little old ladies cross the street as his main weakness as a comeback to edwards and clinton was priceless.lol

Any “funniest” list that doesn’t place John McCain extolling how “we should be able to deliver hot bottled water to dehydrated babies” as the #1 line is woefully incomplete.

Regarding number 2: If Chris Matthews does not get that thrill going up his leg very often, does this mean that the thrill is usually going down his let instead?

Regarding number 5: I suspect that Larry King would be the most qualified person to answer his own questions….

Regarding number 10: I gather Defazio’s characterization of Tyler Duvall as a little pointy-headed neocon must have been funny becuase if you lined him up with 9 other neocons you still could not pick him out of the crowd? If he had beady suspicious eyes, well, that wouldn’t help either.
