Hezbollah’s Huge Investment In Al Manar
August 28, 2006 at 2:04 pm
Michelle Malkin points to this report in IsraaelNN:
The Hizbullah terrorist organization invests $15-20 million a year in its Al Manar television station, more than the Israeli government spends for public relations, according to Ra’anan Gissin, former director of the office of former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.
How does this compare to the amount America spends on Arabic-language television? Alhurra, America’s Arabic-language satellite broadcast to the Middle East, has a budget for $73 million this year. Shouldn’t we be spending more?

“…more than the Israeli government spends for public relations…”
This is only true for the absolute narrowist definition of “public relations.”
Netanyahu probably drops a couple million on 1st class air fare between Tel Aviv and the US alone for his talking-head tv appearances here.
