Webb Going Wobbly?
November 29, 2006 at 10:18 am
Today’s Washington Post profile of Jim Webb opens by showing the Senator-elect at his rudest during a White House visit. But below that amazing anecdote we learn this:
A strong backer of gun rights, Webb may find himself at odds with many in his party. He expressed support during the campaign for a bill by his opponent, Sen. George Allen (R-Va.), that would allow concealed weapons in national parks. But an aide said this week that Webb will review Allen’s legislation.
Extreme Mortman has posted previously on this issue. So have leading gun bloggers like Say Uncle. Will this promise be the first Webb backtracks on? We’ll know soon.

I’d hardly call this Webb going wobbly.
Sounds more like a PR Flack who knew nothing about the issue trying to buy some time.
and, pre tell, whats wrong with reviewing Allen’s legislation. Seems to me, there’s lots in it that could be improved.
