Keith Ellison: “In the Minnesota state House, no one can give you anything — I was surprised that you can take gifts here up to a certain amount.”
Yvette Clark, on the House offices: “They gave a list and we’ve got to scope it out, what’s closest to the Metro, what’s closest to shopping.”
Might be time to instruct the new folks in the old joke about Washington — no one buys retail on the National Mall.
