CNN’S Bizarre Wartime Story Choices

The Washington Post Magazine chose this past Sunday to run this story: “A Beautiful Friendship? In search of the truth about the Israel lobby’s influence on Washington.”
The timing was odd — given the outbreak of war — but those magazines are published well in advance of breaking news.
In the midst of breaking news, however, CNN tonight did its version of that story. Here’s Paula Zahn’s intro:
Just how much influence does Israel and its supporters, the so-called Israel lobby, have over U.S. policy? … Is the United States’s unflinching support of Israel, which has been the case for many years now, hurting its image overseas or its ability to solve complex international problems.
Unflinching? Hurting?
