So would Rahm Emanuel be the first Jewish White House chief of staff?

Hardly.  Look no further than the current occupant of that position, Josh Bolten, for a Jewish chief of staff.  He was the second.  The first?  Ronald Reagan’s chief of staff Ken Duberstein.
