We read in the Washington Post:
When a reporter pointed to the dearth of well-heeled, GOP-aligned independent groups emerging, Obama responded by asserting that they could “pop up pretty quickly and have enormous influence,” adding: “And we’ve already seen them — and there was an ad run in South Dakota . . . where it took a speech that I had made, extolling faith, and made it seem as if I had said that America was a Muslim nation.”
Could this be the South Dakota ad that frigthened Barack Obama into ditching public financing?

Not sad, inasmuch as this illustrates and helps us know better how he truly feels about both America and Christianity. Words have meaning, as Barack likes to say.
Unfortunately, a huge part of America has no problem with either a muslim nation or a nation of unbelievers, nor do they have a problem with him not saluting the flag.
He truly is a european style politician.

What this ad proves that with a little knowledge of photshop and some video editing a lot of people can be fooled into reaching a false conclusion and accept it as fact. Be more observant, it’s obvious that the image of Obama was superimposed on that of Bill Richardson and Hillary with their hands on their hearts. Look how Obama is dressed. have you ever seen him dressed down like that for an official event? People can be persuaded to believe what they want to believe with a little smoke and mirrors. You all need to take a look inside and ask yourselves why you fail to think critically rather than just consume anything you are fed.

You know- I sort of figured he dumped public financing because- well first its not like he needs it: hes printing money or something because he even called off the liberal 527s so theyre all raising funds for equal macrame rights or something. And oh yeah because it kinda screws the other guy…what’s his name again?… because that old dude’s got no dough until the convention & will never raise a fourth of what the black dude is going to pull in.
So what’s with the ‘fraidy Obama angle anyway? I know its not kosher to explain jokes but I’m missing this one & I’m sure its a GREAT joke because otherwise the folks running this site & most of the posters are just knee jerk race baiters and THAT sure doesn’t make sense…so I’m really looking forward to the explanation.

When Obama spoke after the SC primary, I thought: He is real, and good for America. A quick google search on both him and his family gave me pause.
Both grandparents seem to lean communist; His mother seems to have never liked her own country (but did return to the U.S. for the best cancer treatment). His father, that he never really knew but adores, attempted a socialist coup in Kenya (early 1980’s) that failed.
Sn. Obama; by his choice of adult associations; seems to me, unable to debate w/anyone, the ideals of this country, What sets us apart, what makes us successful. (I’ll even debate him on his fact of 57 States.)

The saddest part about the rejection of the public financing is that Obama completely reversed the pledge he made about accepting the funds and the limits. So let us give a rest to all the quasi-religious raptuous statements about a “new” kind of politics, about “change” - really - that is unadulterated BS. But it is hard to get excited about - “The same kind of politics - only MORE!” or “Hey - of course this is OK - After all I am the one doing it!” “Did I do it? Then question answered - of course it is OK, moral, etc.”
Naturally this is not criticism of Obama, may His name be praised. I only want him to be, better……WAIT strike that - it is not for me to suggest improvement upon those chosen by G_d to be our leaders - let OB_MA be praised!

I look at the mileage the democrats have ‘tried’ to get out of editting McCain’s ‘Hundred Years’ comment and can only come to the conclusion that B and C are not viable answers. The one distinction between the two cases is that the “Hundred Year’ comment is now part of mainstream dem gospel, but I the Obama is a muslim hasn’t been tapped into the mainstream talking points of the GOP. (of course there were democrats who were speculating he might be one…)
Obama was chosen because he was ‘new’. Fine. It has advantages and disadvantages when compared to going with an establishment figure. If you are democrat squirming mad over the commercial, you nominated someone who has not even served a full term as a Senator. You can paint his picture anyway you like, but you won’t have the deeds or crediblity to give it broad support and belief.
Obama is the motherlode of propoganda, largely because no one knows who he is.

Barack Hussein Obama might harbor fundamentalist Muslim learning in his heart and at the back of his mind- due to his indoctrination at a young age but stronger than his Muslim leanings is his radical Marxist-Leninism. As long as we have our Constitution, Bill of Rights and other founding documents we are indisputably a “Christian Nation.” That is, we are founded on Judeo-Christian values and principles. We have always been pluralistic but have required citizens to honor and adhere to our Christian principles, such as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, property rights, sovereignity of our person and our homes, etc.
