The good folks at Reason last night sported a Libertarian debate, featuring Bob Barr and Mike Gravel — two folks who need no introduction — and Wayne Allyn Root, a former Republican and self-described Goldwaterite who’s also running hard for the Libertarian nomination and Vern McKinley, a “Ron Paul Republican” who’s challenging incumbent Rep. Frank Wolf (R-Va.) for a House seat in northern Virginia — two folks who do need an introduction.  And then some.
Meantime, Extreme Mortman senior historian Richard Andrews points out that if the Libertarian presidential nominee is Barr, and the Green/Reform nominee is Cynthia McKinney, the minor parties will both be led by former members of the House from Georgia — who were each defeated for renomination.

Of course, Barr is one notch above all other minor party candidates.  He’s a big-time movie sensation.  Thanks to Borat.
